TruckMate Window is Hidden, Icon is Visible
This article provides instructions for addressing the event in which a Citrix Workspace launched application’s icon is visible in the taskbar, however the window itself is not visible.
For the purposes of this example, you have launched TruckMate’s Dispatch app from Citrix Workspace, the icon can be seen in the Windows taskbar, but the Dispatch window is hidden.
To address the issue, follow these steps:
- If already have another TruckMate application open (i.e. Customer Service, Trip Tracer, etc.) click it to make it the active window. If you do not have another application open, go to Citrix Workspace and try opening another application besides Dispatch. When it appears click the window to make it the active application.
- Press Shift+F2 on your keyboard. A large window with a black background appear containing all currently running applications running in Citrix.
- Click anywhere inside the black window to make it the active window, then press Shift+F2 on your keyboard again to restore all Citrix launched apps to individual windows.
The Dispatch window should now be visible.
The cause of this issue is a bug in the Citrix Workspace software and there is not a permanent fix. Citrix has addressed this issue over time with updates and has become less and less frequent. It appears to affect the most frequently used application based on the currently logged-in user.
